FAQs
Do I need to bring the item I want to frame with me for the design consultation?
Yes! This is important because we need to see the current condition of the item, specific colors and feel, as well as taking exact measurements for the frame.
What does framing cost?
This really depends on the overall size, material, and complexity of the frame. Pieces can range from $100-$1000+, so it all depends on what budget you’d like to work within.
I have an old slightly damaged frame, can you repair it?
It really depends on the material and condition it is in. We often can repair minor scratches and wear and tear, but some frames are unrepairable and the best way to find out is to send us a picture or bring it into the shop!
Can you match an existing frame I have?
It is likely that the moulding material from an older frame is no longer in production, however we have a wide range of manufacturers we work with and more often than not can find a complimentary replacement.
Do you stretch canvas?
We stretch art that is on canvas if it has been previously un-stretched, or was stretched and removed from the strainers. However, if you’re looking for us to stretch raw canvas so you can create art on it, we’d most likely refer you to someone else. Our specialty comes in after the art has been created!
Do you offer print services?
We do not print directly in shop, but we do work with local printers and have had great success in developing relationships with other trusted high quality businesses!
How long does it take to get the finished piece once we’ve landed on a design I love?
Our standard turnaround time is 3-6 weeks, however if your piece is extra large or very complicated it may take longer. If you’re working with a tighter deadline, and the materials are available, we can usually work with the deadline for an additional $50 rush fee.
